About Aquifer DEX, Solana trading, and how to get started.
What is Aquifer DEX?+
Aquifer DEX is a full-stack exchange protocol built on Solana. It combines token swapping, cross-chain bridging, concentrated liquidity pools, SOL staking, and yield rewards in a single non-custodial platform. Available at aquifer-dex.com and aquiferdex.io.
How do I swap tokens on Solana with Aquifer DEX?+
Connect your Solana wallet (Phantom, Solflare, Backpack, or Ledger), select your input and output tokens, enter the amount, review the route and price impact, and click Swap. Aquifer's smart router automatically finds the best price across all Solana AMMs. Transactions confirm in under 400 milliseconds.
What are the swap fees on Aquifer DEX?+
Aquifer DEX charges a base swap fee of just 0.04% on all token swaps — the lowest fee of any major exchange on Solana. Fee tiers for liquidity pools range from 0.01% for stable pairs to 0.25% for volatile pairs. All fees are distributed to liquidity providers and AQF stakers — zero protocol treasury cut.
Is Aquifer DEX safe? Has it been audited?+
Yes. Aquifer DEX has been audited by 5 independent security firms: Otter Security, Halborn, OtterSec + Neodyme, Trail of Bits, and Sec3. All programs are open-source and formally verified. The protocol has secured over $640M TVL without any security incidents. A $10M bug bounty is active.
What wallets work with Aquifer DEX on Solana?+
Aquifer DEX supports all major Solana wallets: Phantom, Solflare, Backpack, Glow, Coin98, Trust Wallet, Ledger hardware wallet, and any wallet compatible with the Solana Wallet Adapter standard. Mobile users can connect via WalletConnect.
How does concentrated liquidity work on Aquifer DEX?+
Aquifer uses a Concentrated Liquidity Market Maker (CLMM) model. Instead of spreading liquidity across all prices, LPs choose a specific price range to concentrate their capital. This means higher fee earnings per dollar of liquidity — typically 5–10× more efficient than traditional AMMs. You can earn up to 31% APR in the top pools.
What is the AQF token and how do I earn it?+
AQF is the native governance and reward token of Aquifer DEX. You earn AQF by trading on the platform (trading rewards), providing liquidity (LP rewards), referring users (referral rewards), and participating in governance. AQF can be staked for additional yield and locked as veAQF for boosted APY and voting power.
How does SOL staking work on Aquifer DEX?+
Aquifer offers three staking products: (1) aqSOL Liquid Staking — stake SOL and receive aqSOL liquid staking tokens at 7.2% APY with instant unstaking. (2) AQF Vault — stake AQF tokens for 18.5% APY with a 14-day lock. (3) veAquifer Governance — lock AQF for up to 4 years for 12.1% APY plus voting power and fee revenue share.
What is aqSOL and can I use it?+
aqSOL is Aquifer's liquid staking token representing staked SOL. It appreciates in value as staking rewards accrue. Unlike native staked SOL, aqSOL is fully liquid — you can use it as collateral, provide aqSOL/SOL liquidity, bridge it cross-chain, or swap it back to SOL instantly at any time.
How does the Aquifer cross-chain bridge work?+
Aquifer's bridge uses Wormhole Guardian network as the base security layer, combined with Aquifer's optimized routing for best rates. You can bridge SOL, USDC, USDT, wBTC, wETH and more between Solana, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, and 5+ other networks. Bridge transfers typically complete in 10–20 minutes.
What chains does the Aquifer bridge support?+
The Aquifer bridge supports 12+ networks including Solana, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, Avalanche, Fantom, Sui, Aptos, and NEAR. New chains are added regularly through governance proposals.
How does Aquifer achieve best swap prices on Solana?+
Aquifer's Smart Order Routing (SOR) engine queries liquidity across all major Solana AMMs — including Aquifer's own CLMM pools, Raydium, Orca, Meteora, and others — then splits and routes orders for optimal price execution. This aggregation means better prices than any single AMM alone.
Does Aquifer DEX have MEV protection?+
Yes. Aquifer integrates with Jito's MEV-protection infrastructure on Solana, routing transactions through a private mempool to prevent sandwich attacks and front-running. Combined with parallel transaction processing, Aquifer offers strong MEV-resistance without sacrificing execution speed.
Does Aquifer DEX support limit orders on Solana?+
Yes. Aquifer supports limit orders for all token pairs. Set your desired price and the order executes automatically when the market reaches your target. Limit orders are non-custodial and can be cancelled at any time. They're powered by Solana's OpenBook order book integrated within Aquifer's routing engine.
How is Aquifer DEX different from Raydium, Orca, and Jupiter?+
While Raydium and Orca are primarily AMMs and Jupiter is a swap aggregator, Aquifer is a unified protocol combining aggregated swaps, CLMM pools, cross-chain bridging, liquid staking, and governance — all in one interface. Aquifer aggregates across other exchanges including Raydium and Orca to ensure best prices, while offering unique native liquidity pools and the highest LP APRs.
What tokens can I trade on Aquifer DEX?+
Aquifer supports 400+ Solana tokens, including SOL, USDC, USDT, wBTC, wETH, JUP, BONK, PYTH, WIF, RAY, ORCA, mSOL, stSOL, aqSOL, and thousands more. Any SPL token can be traded. New tokens are available as soon as their pool is created — no permission required.
What is veAquifer and why should I lock AQF?+
veAQF (vote-escrowed AQF) is received when you lock AQF tokens for a chosen period (1 week to 4 years). The longer you lock, the more veAQF you receive. veAQF earns boosted APY (up to 2.5× base rates), protocol fee revenue share (50% of all fees), and voting power over pool emission allocations and governance proposals.
Is Aquifer DEX fully non-custodial?+
Yes. Aquifer is a fully verifiable, non-custodial protocol with no central intermediary. Programs are deployed on Solana mainnet, are open-source on GitHub, and have no admin upgrade keys. Protocol governance is entirely controlled by veAQF holders. The team cannot access user funds or modify programs without a governance vote and 48-hour timelock.
How fast are Solana transactions on Aquifer?+
Solana processes blocks approximately every 400 milliseconds, making Aquifer trades among the fastest available. Swap transactions typically confirm within 1–3 blocks (0.4–1.2 seconds). This compares to 12–30 seconds on Ethereum and 3–5 seconds on BNB Chain.
What are Solana transaction fees on Aquifer DEX?+
Solana base network fees are approximately $0.00025 per transaction — making each Aquifer swap cost a fraction of a cent in gas. Combined with Aquifer's 0.04% trading fee, the total cost of a $1,000 swap on Aquifer is approximately $0.40 — compared to $5–50 on Ethereum.
Can I use Aquifer DEX on mobile?+
Yes. Aquifer DEX is fully responsive and works in any mobile browser. For the best experience, use Phantom or Solflare's built-in browser on iOS or Android. Aquifer also works seamlessly inside Backpack's integrated DApp browser.
How does the Aquifer referral program work?+
Aquifer's referral program rewards you with 20% of the trading fees generated by users you refer, paid in real-time in AQF. There's no cap. Generate your referral link from the Rewards tab once you connect your wallet. Referral rewards are claimable at any time.
